Our training team

We believe that if you are going to be trained to become a Driving Instructor, only the best of our Approved Driving Instructors can become Driving Instructor Trainers. Unlike other organisations national and local, our trainers are selected for their ability to train the trainers. As with driving instructors, not every one is suitable to become a Driving Instructor Trainer, so firstly we only select those who are graded 5 or above on their check test. This ensures that you are being trained by individuals who are at the top of their game.

The team is led by our ADI Training Officer who is a fully qualified teacher who has 15 years of training experience. In addition to his excellent ability to teach, he is a master driver in all categories of vehicles including motor cycle. He is expert in off road driving, skid control, anti surveillance tactics, close quarter vehicle protection and of course, he is a Grade 6 ORDIT Trainer. It is his mission to ensure that you receive not only the best training but you are successful in passing your exams to qualify as an Approved Driving Instructor. He has himself trained over 50 trainees to become Driving Instructors, many achieving Grade 5.

The DTC Instructor Training team is continually looking at ways of improving our service to you. Every member takes part in a continuous self-advancement and assessment program. The list of qualifications our instructors hold between them is impressive. Each trainer has a set number of trainees at any one time, this quota is not increased. This ensures that every trainee under his or her supervision is trained to the highest level and most importantly, is managed well to ensure success.
